Good vs Evil
God is Good, Hate Inspires Evil
Good has lost a brave warrior in Charlie Kirk. His legacy will continue to promote good in our nation’s youth, and will continue to inspire many, many more.
Stop. We need to stop. As a country, we the people need to stop with the vitriol and hate toward each other. Tens of millions of us “normals” get along just fine with each other, but there are far too many that are filled with hate and do, or say, evil things. In his book Fall of Kings, author Davide Gemmell wrote, “Hate is the father of all evil.” Gemmell's quote implies that evil is rooted in, or motivated by, an initial feeling of intense animosity.
We need to recognize that there is evil among us and that evil is fueled by hate. Our so-called leaders – the politicians, the entertainers, and the media – are fueling hate with their rhetoric by amping up their feelings and opinions about President Trump and the MAGA ideology, as a whole. Why? Because the political left, their followers, and the media just couldn’t fathom losing their power to Donald J. Trump – and the MAGA movement.
Back when Obama was elected there were no mass protests. There was no whining by the Republican party. There was not an outburst of public violence. There was simply a certain level of acceptance. He won the election. Do better next time. Obama was not called hateful names by media talking heads or his political opponents. It just was what it was, like it, or not.
When Trump was elected, both times, the public outcry from a country of coo-coo “Karens” was driven by the legacy media and the absolute butt-hurt Democrat party. They were, and are, in such disbelief that the American people would choose a person like Donald Trump for their President. Their “flabbers” were completely “gasted.” But, why? Because he was a brash, bold, bombastic bloviator? Or was he simply a non-politician taking over the political game?
Trump was the choice of the people, not once, but twice. The hateful words and accusations from his election in 2016 carried over to his re-election in 2024. In the years between, Trump endured even more hateful rhetoric, accusations, penalties, and even two assassination attempts during the 2024 campaign. The hate was not just towards him, but those who supported him, as well.
Hate is an awful thing that permeates our country in many different ways. Hate is not always directly associated with evil, but evil often comes from hate. “Hate is the father of all evil.” Evil, as a concept, is usually defined as “profoundly immoral behavior, and it is related to acts that cause unnecessary pain and suffering.”
Examples of the past decade of Evil in America.
A shooting occurred on Oct 1, 2015, at the Umpqua Community College campus near Roseburg, Oregon. A 26-year-old student, fatally shot an assistant professor and eight students in a classroom, and injured eight others.[1] Evil.

For the crowd crying for more gun control laws, first let me say that gun control laws only hinder the law-abiding citizen. Criminals, by definition, do not adhere to laws or restrictions. Second, guns are not the only weapon of choice by evil-doers.
Rachel Morin was raped, strangled, and pummeled with a rock by an illegal alien from El Salvador in August 2023. Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student at the University of Georgia, was beaten to death with a blunt object by an illegal alien from Venezuela in February 2024. Jocelyn Nungaray, 12 years old, was kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and strangled to death in Texas by two illegal aliens from Venezuela in June 2024. Evil times three.
Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska, 23, was fatally stabbed on Aug 22, 2025, while riding the Lynx Blue Line in Charlotte. The suspect, with 14 prior arrests, stabbed Iryna three times in the neck and chest.[8] He then walked away, blood dripping from his knife, leaving Iryna to bleed out. Evil.
On Nov 21, 2021, Darrell E. Brooks Jr. sped through a police barricade and drove into the Christmas parade crowd in Waukesha, Wisconsin, killing six and injuring more than 60.[9] Evil.
On Jan 1, 2025, a pickup truck driven by Shamsud-Din Jabbar drove through a crowd on Bourbon Street in New Orleans - 14 victims were killed and at least 57 others were injured.[10] Evil.
In addition to an attempted assassination of a Supreme Court Justice in 2022, there were two assassination attempts on President Trump during the 2024 Presidential Election campaign. The first attempt, in Butler, PA, then-candidate Trump was struck in the ear by an assassin’s bullet. Another bullet killed a young father who was attending the event. The other assassination plot was foiled at a Florida golf course owned by President Trump. Evil times two.
Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare's insurance division, was assassinated on Dec 4, 2024, outside a hotel in Midtown Manhattan. Evil.
A sick portion of our society viewed the assassin as a hero. Twisted evil.
On May 21, 2025, Israeli Embassy employees Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky were assassinated by a gunman outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C. The attack was motivated by antisemitism. Evil.
Charlie Kirk was assassinated on September 10, 2025. Evil.
Charlie was killed while exercising his fundamental right of free speech and challenging others to exercise theirs. His outreach to the youth was remarkable! His purpose was to inspire our nation’s youth and to promote conservative beliefs in high schools and on college campuses. Prior to Kirk’s Turning Point USA events, the conservative viewpoint was largely under represented on campuses and among our nation’s youth, in general.
Charlie was an amazing verbal pugilist! He sought to engage in civilized debate and promote conservative ideals. Moreover, he was a conservative Christian. Apparently, that did not sit well with some. The assassin did not agree with Charlie’s point-of-view, and chose to shoot him rather than to debate him. Which makes this assassin, not just evil, but a coward.
Turning Point USA events features open mics for all to step up to and express their feelings, opinions, or challenges to Charlie. Instead of stepping up to an open mic, with an open mind, this assassin chose to open fire. Again, an evil coward. Charlie said, "When people stop talking, that's when you get violence." It was violence that stopped Charlie from talking. His words, however, will live on forever – forever inspiring the youth of this great nation.
This assassination was an act of evil, by an evil person. For those sick, twisted bastards that cheer it, or in some way try justify it, they are just a special kind of evil. There is no place in a civilized society for those scumbags! “We are living in a time where some people are proud of what they should be ashamed of.” Sadly, this is what a section of our society has become.
We should not hate those people or their actions, because “hate is the father of all evil.” We should do what Charlie would have done. Engage them, try to win them over, help them, save them – save them from the hate that they are feeling.
When life presents sad events, we often hear the term, “God’s plan.” Even after tragic events – “God’s plan.” I generally believe that, but I have a hard time associating that with tragic events which involve the killing of innocent people. I can only comprehend that, maybe sometimes, evil interferes with “God’s plan.” I also believe that God will adapt His plan to stave off evil.
Could the assassination of Charlie Kirk, somehow, actually be part of God’s plan? Maybe a new Great Awakening, or maybe, a “turning point.” A turning point for the reduction of hate in this country. A turning point to tone down the rhetoric of politicians, entertainers, athletes, and the media. A turning point for the reduction of violence in this country. A turning point for good to triumph over evil.
A Turning Point for the USA.
